Taurus has been around a while. Ruger is in the making. Snide remarks aside, which would you pick? In 22 WMR only? Oh, and the Taurus has already had the trigger job done. Taurus 22 WMR or Ruger 22 WMR Quote: Ruger’s LCRx revolver series continues to grow, with the company introducing new models chambered in .327 Fed. Mag, .22 WMR and 9mm Luger.

i this going in your pocket or used as a plinker?
Plinker: I'd go with the Taurus because of the sights
Pocket gun: I'd go with the Ruger because of the sights

Normally I would never advocate for Taurus over Ruger, but in this case I'd get the Taurus for a few reasons.

I have the Ruger LCR in 22WMR. I like it, bought it for my wife. It's loud but very smooth. Pretty good for conceal carry. Be sure to find the Hornady defensive ammo.

If the purpose is to melt it down to make pots and pans, get the Taurus.
If the purpose is to shoot, get the Ruger.

I don't remember the trigger being that bad but I do remember shooting it better than I've ever shot at j-frame. The new Colt Cobra is the shit if you like 38+p revolvers. That is the route I went. No regrets.

With a barrel that short, I'd go .22 LR instead of WMR. WMR only gains you about 100 fps, ammo costs much more, and it's exceptionally loud for the performance you are getting. http://ballisticsbytheinch.com/22mag.htmlPlus .22 Short is great for plinking in the back yard.

They got a 22lr for my mother in law but I haven’t shot that one yet. But I’ve rented one and it was also pretty good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Interesting. Since a few of you guys seem pretty happy with the trigger in your LCR I did some googling and there are a lot of people touting the LCR as having one of the smoothest/lightest DA trigger pulls of most modern revolvers. I'm a little shocked. I remember when they first came out I picked one up that must have been around 15lbs pull on DA. Maybe they have made some improvements to the trigger since the early models?
