Lancers and pmags. I like the lancers better, but I can get 2 pmags for 1 lancer so.....

Old infantry trick we used was OD duct tape around the base of the mags so no metal on metal contact in the ammo pouches. Also breaks up the all black outline of our rifles too. A DMZ trick we used was to remove the floor plate and add a 550 cord pull loop too. Now you can buy these from Magpul to do the same things.

Lancers are sweet but spendy. I have more Pmags than anything else and they run great.


Hexmags not so much.

Some here are to young to remeber having to pay 25.00 for crappy black follower 30 round ar mags. That was back when the only polymer mags were thermold so now i feel lucky to pick up my smoked black lancers for less than 15ea they do make 20 rounders in smoke black i had to pay 16.00 for those shipped but i got what i wanted.
So as long as you get the mags before it gets ugly again you will be fine.

So for me i have changed out most of my magpul mags for lancers.

Magpul need to stop worrying about making shirts and hats and shit and pay more attention to mags.
