I get why they did it, to go with the mag well flare, but if the ergos suck, the whole idea should have been scrapped. I shoot a few hundred rounds per week, and definitely am not interested in something that chews up my fingers to do that. I guess there's dremel options but still...

Why do you have to rip the mag out? Doesn't it just drop free? (I'm not a glock guy, I'm all about 1911/2011). When I watch glocks at competitions, I think they just drop free without needing to grab them, but I could be wrong.

Always having to be compared to everything else; the trigger, the sites, the magazines, etc. After all, everyone knows that 1911 magazines always drop free and never stick or jam.

The earlier GLOCKS had "sticky" magazines (my old Gen 2 mod 21 came with two) that I heard were designed to stay within the magwell so as to not be lost by dropping free into the Austrian snow. Urban legend?

I held the Gen 5 at I-5 guns. The flare on the bottom of the grip made it seem smaller than my gen 4 G19. But it made the 17 fit perfect in my hand. I like the tapered front edge of the slide too.

Glock mags not dropping free are a mystery akin the condom having disappeared when pulling out. No one knows why it happened. But if your 1911 mags don't drop free, you either need some smithing or your mags need to be replaced.

Nooooooo, To size the Glock magwell all a guy has to do is pack mud on a mag and run it up that sucker a couple hunnert times.....ya know...lap it in. I have a Gen 3 G19 never had an empty mag drop issue when I ran it at Snoqualimie Action Pistol.
