Any gun? I'll go on record to say any of my transfer bar S&W revolvers mechanically cannot fire if dropped (with the hammer down). Unless you drop the trigger right on someone's finger from about 50 stories up.

And it wasn't all variants.

What it seems is that there is a sweet spot that may exist, where the trigger bar (internal) has less inertia than the trigger itself. I suspect if you drop the gun straight back, the trigger bar inertia is strong than the trigger's inertia.

So just about any modification to the trigger could fix this. Currently run an Apex flat faced trigger on my wife's gun.

BREAKING: Sig Sauer Offers To Upgrade P320 Pistols In Wake Of Drop Safety Failures

http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2017 ... -failures/

"In the wake of the news that the P320 has failed when drop tested by independent sources, Sig Sauer has offered to upgrade P320 pistol in the wake of the failures. Note that Sig Sauer is not issuing a recall of any kind, just that they are offering a program to upgrade the existing pistols with parts that Sig may have already developed."

"As a result of input from law enforcement, government and military customers, SIG has developed a number of enhancements in function, reliability, and overall safety including drop performance. SIG SAUER is offering these enhancements to its customers. Details of this program will be available at sigsauer.com on Monday, August 14, 2017"

WTF!? The government just ran massive testing on these and it beat out Glock, which IS drop safe.

And now this, which if true, is insanity!

Was it not tested for drop safety?

Bro, you just answered your question. Government. When have they ever been good at contracts?

I don't drop my guns but I own a P320. Going to keep an eye out for the fix.

I have Sig products and in fact have dropped my 229 and it did not go off. Not sure what they are building now.
I currently only have 3 Sig's of the 7 I have owned. NONE went bang when I didn't drop them...
