I'm reminded today why I voted and pushed so hard for Trump.
Today the Maryland AWB was appealed to SCOTUS. If SCOTUS hears it, it's almost certainly going to be struck down as unconstitutional with the current makeup of the Court. These cases can take years to work their way through the Court. If this case is heard, it would probably be in 2018 or 2019. And going forward that makeup is likely going to be far more pro-gun and pro-Constitution.
It challenges the standard AWB nonsense. It would have far-deep-wide range impacts and could theoretically liberate about 10 states which have unconstitutional AWB laws. The Court may decline this case, but it's going to have to hear an AWB case in the near future because some 50% of Americans live under the draconian laws and there is vast inconsistency and penalties for these arbitrary differences which are largely cosmetic. It cannot continue to kick the can and let this continue. So excited!
