I saw a .308 bullet that ricocheted off snow and flew up at a 30 degree angle and landed sideways in a fence. And it only took a thin line in the snow to throw it that much off course.

And even NDs/ADs over berms. And old Forensics Files episode of a ND/AD over a berm randomly killed a teenage boy in a freak but foreseeable accident.

Was at the Renton Range when the HEAD HONCHO came up to the 200m rifle range and busted some guys ass for skipping his rounds into the rim fire range where he had been conducting class.

I am trying to imagine how a person could manage to do that.
Looking at the map/layout of the RFG club, the rounds might have been going into the IPSC bays or...?
Don't really know, I've only been there the one time, but the PRESIDENT was smoking mad about rounds going into (whichever) other bays.
Dude he was yelling at was doing "dynamic shooting" and moving around one of the shooting benches "tactically" and shooting on the move.
President shows up... I could feel his glare on the back of my neck.... as he stood there watching everybody shoot so he could tell who's ass to rip on.

Now that I can see happening since you can see into some of the action bays when walking down range.
2nd the great video. May use that one for an orientation class or in training! Thanks for posting.

That's scary stuff, great post! It's definitely a careless practice you might find at the pit in capitol forest; people shooting at the healing targets with a pistol 20-30 feet away...errrr This video makes me question how we were taught in the army to "walk" our shots in with automatic weapons. I remember one night fire exercise where tons of tracers were taking off into the sky from M249's and 240B's. I wonder if that's still common practice..? The mention of unintended bullet trajectories reminded me of this video. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0ABGIJwiGBc
