I filed mine 4-21-17 and it's still 'valid submission received' with no check sent. http://www.rebateinquiryonline.com/Only enter last name and zipcode to check. "Thank you for your recent purchase and on behalf of Smith & Wesson firearms, I would like to personally apologize for the delay you have experienced in receiving your rebate on this purchase. Typically we are able to process rebates within a few weeks of receipt, and our recent performance does not meet our standard. The “Savings You Can Carry” program has been very popular, and the tremendous response we received temporarily overwhelmed our systems. I have personally overseen our correction of the situation, and am committing to you that if you submitted your rebate in the month of April, your rebate submission will be processed no later than July 7, 2017. If you submitted your rebate in the month of May, your rebate submission will be processed no later than July 31, 2017.Nothing is more important to us than your loyalty. Please accept our sincerest apologies and our appreciation for your patience, as well as your dedication to the products we are so proud to deliver. Regards, Matt Buckingham President, Smith & Wesson Firearms

I've been wondering that crap too. Totally forgot until I was cleaning my safe yesterday and saw the shield box.

I hate stuff with rebates...you better cross all your T's and dot your i's or 3 months later they deny it. Too many rules, most manufacturer's bet that you won't meet all the criteria or send them in so they don't have to pay. Rebates =

I know what you mean. Wife and I sent in maybe 8-10 liquor rebates over the years. Soaked the bottles in the sink, peeled off the labels, sent them in with the coupon............. Never got a single check.

Right on the form: "Please allow 8 – 10 weeks for fulfillment of valid rebate requests."

Submitted mine on 4/27. A little worrisome it doesn't show up in the rebate status search.

We were supposed to get one from Remington several years ago, never saw it. Another bad thing about rebates is you still get stuck with paying WA.Gov's sales tax on the original price.

Between 40-60% of rebates on all things are never paid.
They wait to send the checks until after the program ends. Didn't get one? "Sorry, offer is over." Plus they are not responsible if you never receive the check or if they claim to never receive your application. Plus hoping you forgot it, threw it out as junk mail, or lost it. Lots of consumer fraud complaints over unpaid rebates.
That's why they sell store gift cards at a discount. Lots of people lose them, numbers wear off the cards, etc.

Website said mine was sent out 3 weeks ago.
When did you file your rebate? I'm still waiting.
I'll call Investor Relations in a couple weeks.

Oh boy, the rebate game. I saw that rebate thing show up for the Shield, and instantly thought of all the Valvoline and Penzoil rebates I applied for from O'Reily and Autozone back in the day. Never saw a dime in rebates....it's easier to just buy the 5qt jugs at Wally World, and cheaper. And no, I didn't get a Shield.
