I like it. Not many ambi-control hammer guns out there with both safety and decocker in a compact size. I hope it performs well. I also hope it takes current XD mags!

Not super innovative, yet long overdue for the ambi-features with both safety and decocker in one package. Not really many guns out there like that.

I'd consider one!

Looks like another handgun designed and manufactured in Croatia by HS Produkt that Springfield licensed for US import.

So the XDe is bigger than the XDs and has a hammer, I fail to see how that is an improvement. Can anyone explain?

I've never held one and just 30 minutes ago saw a video online.

It *appears* that it is a mid-sized hammer fired gun, with a light slide to rack (ideal for those with weak grip) that has ambi controls (safety/decocker/mag release) for off hand shooting (~10% of people are lefties).

Name another poly pistol that does those things... gonna be a short list.

Particularly good for a novice, leftie, wanting a hammer.

I guess, hammer seems like a step back but Springfield seems to know what sells.

I hope aftermarket triggers are going to be there for these. Trigger pull looks terrible

"How is the trigger?" is the question.

If SA is 1911 like, then OK.

If the bore was just a few mm lower, it seems like it would be way better.

I don't have any figures but I'd say that about 1/2 of all carry and HD guns have hammers so it's not like they are irrelevant. I wouldn't necessarily say a step backwards. Not everyone is sold on striker fired guns.

Note, I generally carry a striker fired gun but I'd use/carry a hammer gun without hesitation and often have.

I've seen lots of people say they hate decockers... Why? Can't you just ignore it or does it affect the operation of the pistol in some other material way?

If they would have made the decocker/safety on the slide, they could have moved the axis down considerably.
