Well I'm contemplating stripping the bluing and and polishing the frame but I don't want it to rust. However I don't shoot in the rain and when I clean guns I alway apply a thin coat of oil to the exterior.
Unless someone out there would like to swap frames, blued for a stainless

The frames are made of sheet steel and will rust pretty quickly if not coated with something. The barrel and receiver are made of standard carbon gun steel and will last a bit longer in the white, but will still rust.
I have reblued a few of these, a high polish blued job with the top of the receiver/barrel bead blasted looks exceptional.
If you really want a stainless one, sell your standard blued MKII and buy a stainless one

Unless someone out there would like to swap frames, blued for a stainless If it's blued, it's not stainless. If you strip the finish off, expect it to rust. Oiling it well can prevent that, but like others said, if you want the stainless look, get a stainless gun.

I've seen frames around. No SN#, no paperwork required. Numrich is out, Ruger-parts.net sells them, but not cheap. http://www.ruger-parts.net/grip-frames-mk-series/

Pay attention to the notes about fitting, these aren't universal parts like Glock frames or something.
