1959 was a good year...new cars were generally ugly and so were the people. Hawaii became a state so it follows that AK's went with stamped steel receivers. Or are you talking Forged milled receivers... In that case I don't know.... .........well, actually I don't know shit about AK's ('cept where the bullets go) and was just guessing.

Hmmm, Original AK's had stamped receivers 1947-1949. Switched to milled receivers after production problems.
