I agree with mislabeled about the Shield. I really wanted to like it but in the end I parted ways with mine. The XDS is pretty awesome so is the Kahr but the ones I have stuck with are my Keltec PF-9 and my Glock26. I absolutely hate admitting that I even own a Glock, let alone actually like it but the 26 has proven to be a great carry weapon. Of course this decision is always a personal one. Find the one that fits you best. Those 2 are what fits me best.

If I were you I would hate admitting I bought and still own a Keltec. :thumbsup2:

I like my shield but I have not fallen in love with it. I like the size, how it feels in the hand, and the trigger more than my glock. This is not to say the shield has a great trigger. I won't shoot/carry it without the 8 round mag though. Need that pinkie spot.

What's wrong with a Kel-Tec. Can't speak to the PF-9 but I sure like my P3-AT. It's always in one of my pockets or clipped between jeans and t-shirt. It's a pistol that can be carried just about ANYWHERE, even swimming if you seal it in a zip-loc bag. As for a full sized carry piece I still like my Sig P229. That and an un-tucked shirt take me anywhere I want to go with nobody noticing (as long as I don't have to go through the magnetometer or get wanded). I figure that as long as I'm going to carry a defensive weapon I don't want any limitations. Size has never been of concern but then again I'm retired and my "uniform" for the last 12 years has been casual shirts and jeans. Told my wife I didn't ever want to wear a suit/tie again, not even at my funeral.

I know it's not on your list...but I love the Ruger LC9 S Pro.

Bulldog: on that video he says the LC9S pro's trigger is almost too light for CC. What say you?

I have no issues with the LC9S Pro....then again, my police department uses Glocks so that's what I've been using/carrying since that's what I was trained on.
Keep your finger off the trigger (indexing) until you're ready to shoot. That's how I was trained....it's what I know. I have no need and don't want a manual safety on my handguns.

As this is my safety Sir....

Each shooter/gun owner has their own way of doing things.
If you want a manual safety or a heavier trigger pull, check out either the LC9S or the LC9.

I have owned an XDS 45, Shield, and now an XDS 9. I really wanted to like the shield. My favorite I think was the XDS45, but the 9 is fine. For follow up shots consider the 4 inch barrel model. The only downside for me is the weight. Personally, from what is on your list, I'd go with a mod .2. Double stack is always preferable to me. Second would be XDS 9 4.0.

If your only looking at a sub compact, I'm not much help lol. With the way the world is going I got rid of my subcompacts and only really carry a G17 with a streamlight, iwb holster. I had a full size m&p and could never get use to the trigger, but was too cheap to replace the trigger in it.

I like double stacks and with 2 spare mags that puts me at being able to carry 52 rounds. Now I travel a lot for work and hate not being able to carry a rifle with me. But I can get away with my pistol and lots of spare mags.

What about a g19? It's smaller than the g17 and still can use full size 9mm mags.

Just my two cents worth. And I know it may not fit your needs.

58 rounds with my CZ75 SP-01 Tactical and two spares. Carry is just as easily as my smaller Sig with only 40 rounds with proper holster/carrier.

I will also give a [THUMBS UP SIGN] for the shield. I have had mine for a year and carry it ever where I can.

I was having this thought a bit earlier. I carry my XDS often, because it is what works in some cases. Outside of those cases, I'm thinking I may actually want a G34 with a longer sight radius and two extra rounds. My G19 fits most circumstances, but I'm also getting to the point where I don't really care if I print anymore.

Why were you worrying about "printing" to begin with?

Carrying a handgun is legal concealed with a permit and open without a permit. Chances are the only one who really cares is ----you.

I sometimes don't want to be asked to leave if I have to go to Babies R Us or something with a well posted no gun policy. If it is not obvious, less likely to be asked to leave.

Buy your shirts a size larger. I wear size large when in fact I can fit into a medium. But it helps with printing

I started with a 34 too. Same reasons. Now I rarely carry it but my 26/19 all the time. 17 only for OWB carry during winter months.

Another vote for the Shield.

Had an XDs in .45 and didn't enjoy shooting it.

Shield is a blast. Trigger could use some work, but I have enjoyed the gun over all.

Saturday was testing day at West Coast. I tried many different pistols in 9mm. I shot:

M&P Shield-Easy to paw, one handed, and easy to shoot. Super slim.
Springfield XDS-think the Mod2 with the better grip might have been better.
Walther PPS M2-pretty nice.
Walther PPQ (YUCK) trigger sucked
Kahr PM9 and CM9 I believe (I fired 3 rounds from each, and took them right back to the counter. Worst. Trigger. Ever. IMO)
---> I think the MK9 would've been better, but none to try.
Glock 43-too light, sort of a "dead feel" to it.
CZ-P07 (just for funs) too big.

No Keltecs to shoot. Didn't do a Ruger LCR9 Pro but I have shot the regular. Ehhhh.

Based on personal testing, I think the Shield wins it for me. I actually found the trigger to be fine, though I would potentially swap. If I were to get a larger carry pistol, I think the Mod2 would be it. In an ideal scenario, I'd just get an HK P7 and be done with it.
