It was a sight to see. With his Cat like reflexes he grabbed the slide after it bounced off of hime and the first thing he said was, " is it supposed to do that?" Mr calm cool and collected all the way, then he whipped the phone out for the post pic. We all looked and said, "damn!"...and kept on shooting. Good time except for that. Hopefully Smith, Walther or whoever takes care of it. I will pay closer attention to my two P22's in the future.

That is freakin' ridiculous! Those are the kind of stories you usually just hear about. Crazy! Thanks for sharing Steve. I wouldn't have believed it if you hadn't said it was so (The pictures were pretty convincing too, just sayin').

Get the new slide from Walther, then sell that bad boy & upgrade to the Walther PPQ SD .22 Tactical. Mine is amazingly accurate with any cheap .22 ammo. And it has a slide made from real metal instead of recycled crashed Airbus parts... http://www.waltherarms.com/handguns/ppq/ppq-22/

Well, I've been considering one of these or a Ruger SR22 for my kids. ZAMAK < aluminum. Congrats Ruger! Just posted in another thread about my sons SR22 and it is interesting that he originally had a P22 which had nkthing but problems. My buddy had a P22 that worked fine.
