Yes, you read that right: The Blaze wrote: Thirty-one House Democrats have proposed legislation that would prevent people from buying ammunition online, and would instead require all purchases to be made in person — a change they admit is aimed at preventing people from buying “unlimited” ammunition over the Internet. But wait, there's more! The Blaze wrote: The Stop Online Ammunition Sales Act, from freshman Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-N.J.), would also require all ammo dealers to be licensed by the government, and require bulk ammo purchases to be reported to the government. More here: http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2015/05/13/dems-have-a-bunch-of-new-ideas-to-stop-you-from-buying-ammunition/Ronnie was right...the 9 scariest words in the English language are, "I'm from the government and I'm here to help." Make no mistake, my fellow patriots. There is an all-out war brewing against civilian gun ownership. If we lose that war, it will not be long before we lose our other freedoms, too. The good news is that their bill stands a snowball's chance in hell of passing Congress now. But we can't get complacent, as the power shifts in Washington are quite cyclical, and we're never too far away from sweeping national legislation. Obamacare, anyone? ETA: The bill is H.R. 2283. It was proposed on 5/12/2015, but the text has not been received. It will be posted here: https://www.congress.gov/bill/114th-congress/house-bill/2283/textA similar bill, S. 35, was proposed on January 22, 2013, but died. That text can be viewed here: https://www.congress.gov/bill/113th-congress/senate-bill/35/text/

Quote: and require bulk ammo purchases to be reported to the government. That means anything over 1 round, (as per any libtard mindset)

As I started saying 5-6 years ago.... The government knows they can't make real headway in the sale of firearms. They have regulated a lot already. Next they are going to go after the ammo.
I'm honestly surprised they didn't just step up and say they wanted background checks for ammo too.
This is BS. And we need to make sure it gets killed.

I just updated the OP to include a link to the bill (HR 2283) on Congress.gov, for those who are interested. Text isn't available (yet). H2obouget wrote: As I started saying 5-6 years ago.... I'm honestly surprised they didn't just step up and say they wanted background checks for ammo too. If the text of HR 2283 is largely the same as its predecessor, S 35, then it looks like the intent is to treat ammunition much like firearms, at least as far as regulations regarding purchasing and transportation are concerned. So methinks you're right.

Don't get too comfortable. Powder, primers and bullets will be next on their list. In fact it would not surprise me if they weren't wording it so that the President could use an EO to "clarify" that ammo was defined as "any form of chemical propellant, primers, caps, bullets, or the materials need to make bullets, or any combination there of." That would take most black powder and modern reloading components out of play as well as premade modern ammo.

Just ammo prices were coming back down too. Now ammo will be out of stock or $5 per round

I never get comfortable when it concerns the government and firearms, privacy, free speech, property rights....want me to keep going? Actually I agree with you about the powder and primers. Bullets or materials used to make them, not so much.
