The .308 is cool, especially with the wood . . . but meh.

It's not wood. It's plastic. Did you watch the video?

Nope. It didn't interest me that much, especially for that price.

That 308 with wood makes me cringe every time I see it. To each his own but

Not wood. Why cringe? The color?

I don't know if it's the extra big carry handle sight, or the pencil barrel with the pronged flash hider, or the brown furniture. I don't know what it is. Sorry man I don't mean to beat up on something you like. It just makes me saw "ewwwww" when I see it.

That's a proto, the real model won't have the pencil barrel, for one thing. But I get it - glad we don't all like the same thing. I just like the bloody Dutch model

Took out my first handgun that I've bought for myself, Glock 17 gen5.

Shoots great. Had some nice groups and managed to plow down 200 rounds of ammo by myself pretty quickly.

Yesterday made it to first IHMSA match of the year near San Antonio. Shot Smallbore standing with Thompson Contender with 22LR barrel from 25 to 100 yards and that went well in spite of being rusty from several months winter break. Had a bunch of light primer strikes in centerfire mode on the same receiver when shooting 22 Hornet for Field Pistol. Need to replace my T/C hammer spring this week which is quite a challenging job getting the spring pinned under tension in the right location.

Also finally got a chance to work up sight settings at 50, 100, 150, and 200 yards on my iron sighted XP-100 in 7mm Remington BR with help from our local match director who did the spotting and shot correction. Now have the dope for bullet drop at those distances with 139gr Hornady boat tail. Looking forward to starting to compete in Big Bore class next month.

All in all a great day on the line yesterday. Any day you can soak in the smell of burnt powder is a good day in my book.

You can get a larue 308 for that price and it's a Brazilian times better and cheaper. You can get the lower for 199

Wife shot 200 x 38 spl with her pair of S&W M36 Chief Specials
I watched and occasionally shot my .250-3000 Savage in the stall just 5 feet from her. (Damn this round is accurate)

Then came home and ordered 1000 Xtreme bullets 45ACP 230 gr Copper plated.
1000 Missouri Bullets 38spl 125gr HiTek coated
1000 Missouri Bullets 44 Mag 240 gr HiTek "Smashers"

Gonna be busy building my most used pistol caliber bullets the next few weeks in prep for this summer since my new job after May will be "Home Improvement Specialist" (in prep to sell it in spring of 2019)
