Oh, I never said that assembling ARs wasn't hard for me.

And last time I checked you don't sell guns. Not that I can afford anyway.

"Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm -- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves." – T.S. Eliot

"The right of self defence is the first law of nature: in most governments it has been the study of rulers to confine this right within the narrowest limits possible. Wherever standing armies are kept up, and the right of the people to keep and bear arms is, under any colour or pretext whatsoever, prohibited, liberty, if not already annihilated, is on the brink of destruction." - St. George Tucker

A careful definition of words would destroy half the agenda of the political left and scrutinizing evidence would destroy the other half. - Thomas Sowell

"To ban guns because criminals use them is to tell the innocent and law-abiding that their rights and liberties depend not on their own conduct, but on the conduct of the guilty and the lawless, and that the law will permit them to have only such rights and liberties as the lawless will allow...

For society does not control crime, ever, by forcing the law-abiding to accommodate themselves to the expected behavior of criminals. Society controls crime by forcing the criminals to accommodate themselves to the expected behavior of the law-abiding." - Jeff Snyder

Personal weapons are what raised mankind out of the mud, and the rifle is the queen of personal weapons. The possession of a good rifle, as well as the skill to use it well, truly makes a man the monarch of all he surveys. It realizes the ancient dream of the Jovian thunderbolt, and as such it is the embodiment of personal power. For this reason it exercises a curious influence over the minds of most men, and in its best examples it constitutes an object of affection unmatched by any other inanimate object.

Technically yesterday -

Picked up a sweet Walther PPS M2 from a forum member - great guy. Been interested in the M2 for awhile. Have the PPS classic. I can see I prefer some features on each over the other... Will be comparing them head-to-head soon.

Also, made a fair offer on a gun here but it was declined. Had some money burning in my pocket and found a better deal on a Beretta 96 Centurion with 6 mags and 2 holsters! Been wanting one of those for 2 decades! Great score! It's in near perfect condition aside from minor wear in a couple spots. So that worked out fantastically well! :thumbsup2:

I'd go with the 10/22....

The .308 is cool, especially with the wood . . . but meh.

It's not wood. It's plastic. Did you watch the video?

Not wood. Why cringe? The color?

Went down to Pinto's and picked up a "Limbsaver" for my son's new O/U 12GA. That thing is pretty light, i figured it would "bite" and might put him off it when we went Trap shooting in the AM. He is stepping up from a 20GA Pump, gotta make it happen in a good way.

I like the 1" increase in the LOP, i may need to look into a "Kickeez" for my Redhead Premier too.

I don't know if it's the extra big carry handle sight, or the pencil barrel with the pronged flash hider, or the brown furniture. I don't know what it is. Sorry man I don't mean to beat up on something you like. It just makes me saw "ewwwww" when I see it.

My Saturday grind at the range.

Shot 20 rds with the 1873 trapdoor at 100 yds. First shot was a TRUE bullseye! My buddy said "Pack it up, go home, doesn't get better from here on out"

Shot 20 rds of 308 Savage 99, dialing a new scope in.

Shot 100 rds with my 'truck' gun, a Para Ord P12 in 45ACP (Made in Canada, NOT Florida) I practice once a month with this back up, need to be "ready" to use it God forbid I ever have to.
