I made a few trades. Got a few "free" magazines on order as well.

Nice stuff!
I never noticed any issues with my XDs before the re-call. In fact I think the trigger was better before.

Spent the day at Cascade for the Thunder Beast demo with my youngest. Dom got some very cool opportunities. Ringing steel at 200 with... Very nicely built 308 Barrett MRAD 338 Lapua The rep was cool as hell and was really glad to see I brought my kid along "future of our sport" he says as Dom squeezes off a very muffled 308, rings steel, big smile on Doms face, nod of approval and a "that'll work" from the rep. Thanks Greg, we both had a great day!

Spent the last week going through Southern Idaho to attend my daughters graduation in the middle of the week and move her back home? so on the way, had a little time to kill. Stopped at gun shops in any town I stopped at.... whether for fuel, lunch, dinner, or to put down for the night..............
Got 2 that really sticks out in my mind..............
Red's Trading Post in Twin Falls. Their website advertises 6,000 gun inventory. I don't know about 6,000, but boy, they have ALOT of guns on hand........... Never saw so many new Desert Eagles in one spot (20 to 30), as an example. They have a decent reloading area as well. Primers, Powders, Boolits..... Reloading equipment galore.
Gun Shop, in Idaho Falls. That's the name of the place, really. Wasn't as big as Red's, but wow. Just wow. Bought some Large Rifle Primer Bricks. CCI 200. Texted a friend of mine, got him some too. With the local sales tax, it came to $33.07 per brick.
Idaho Fall's also had a couple of custom shops.
Boise had a few gun shops. One seemed to be larger than most. Had stuff and boxes all over the floor.
Burley had 2. One was real small. The other was a pawn shop that has a fair amounts of guns on hand.
I invited Red's, and the Gun Shop, to move to Washington, or open a branch there....... They just laughed and said..................... No thanks. You guys are being invaded by California...............................

Just finished a two hour session cleaning my .308 and doing some re-shaping of the recoil pad.
Now just looking forward to getting that barrel all dirty again tomorrow.

I just got back from the range, where I: - Tested some .308 loads over my new Magnetospeed chronograph (VERY cool for that type of gun, BTW ) - Shot my new Glock 42 for the first time with both factory ammo and my reloads. I had two stovepipes early on when loaded with 6+1, and no failures after that. - Shot my Glock 35 with the new Lone Wolf 9mm conversion barrel . . . flawless and an easy shooter. - Tried some new .44 Mag loads with IMR 4227. That's a big bang.

Finally installed the rail & scope on my 10/22. Now I just need to zero the scope in.

Bought a new shelf at Costco. Reorganizing all my ammo/gun shit. Damn does this stuff accumulate quickly... I've decided next house I am looking at will have a full room dedicated to this.

Kept the 12 gauge with me today whilst working at the house and shop. Bagged me two of those brown tree rats. They are much quieter post mating season so its a bit more sport to locate them. Little bastards are destructive when they get into things
the one that has been into the shop is very elusive and i cant exactly blast holes from the inside out so maybe i will luck out and the one i got near the shop was the one problem child

I bought a rifle I've been lusting after for a long time: Yugo M76. With scope. And four mags. Thank you, Pintos! And . . . I bought 600+ pieces of 7.62x54R brass. I'm not sure why the hell I'll EVER need that much, but I guess I'll be ready if my surplus stash dries up. LOL. Thank you, sagewa!
