I receive a unicorn in the mail today, a Tailhood Mod 2 brace that I pre-ordered. I was pretty quick on the mouse button when they opened it up for pre-orders, so I think I've got one of the first ones out there. Here's my .45 Auto AR-15 (with Octane 45 suppressor) with the old Sig brace: And with the Tailhook Mod 2: Much better. I'm still not in love with the handguard that's on there, but right now I'm not feeling inclined to buy something new.

He works for Cabelas and had an employee discount that had to be used today. His price after tax.... $462 Who is he? At the Lacey store? No. He works for the DC in Puyallup. He took my place when I left a year and a half ago.

Did the transfer paperwork for a guy who bought a M249 belt fed semi-auto from our online store and had it shipped to the store. The guys freaked out when they saw what I was bringing to the counter. Huge crowd just looking the thing over. Pretty sure if I hit the lottery tonight, I'm buying one for each hand..... By the way our corporate folks are giving away a FN15 Limited Edition M4 Rifle or a $500 Rural King gift card! While there are NO Rural Kings in WA, we do, do transfers, so you are still eligible to win if you got someone to accept a transfer. I'm not gaining anything on publishing this, I just want you guys to have a chance at a free gun or $500.... https://www.rkguns.com/fn-m249s-223-5-56-nato-semi-automatic-rifle-56460.html

Bought a Walther PPQ Classic/M1 at the LGS last week for the wife and it arrived yesterday from the distributor. NICS is delayed though so we're in the waiting game. It will soon be sporting Trijicon night sights. Nothing says Merry Christmas like a new 9mm Altamont just shipped a J-frame Combat grip for my 642 that I recently ordered. I always replace the stock synthetic grip with wood grips that don't snag on the draw from pocket carry. Texas Department of Public Safety just mailed my brand spanking new Handgun License earlier this week. Should be arriving any day now. Time to put my Shield and 642 into daily carry. Thinking to pick up a Smith 5906 soon on GunBroker or similar. Have been lusting after one for years and may be able to cobble together the funds in the next month or two.
