Does anyone have any experience with Witt machine suppressors? All of the reviews I’ve read say they’re not bad, but I want to see if anyone on here has any experience with using them. They seem too good to be true at a $400 MSRP.

Ask them if they have data sheets on performance?
Caveman Jim... I think he was looking at these some time ago?

That website doesn't do much to build confidence. Sounds like a small shop figuring their shit out. Ugly and basic, but most suppressors are really simple objects at the end of the day.

5.56 is just not a great round at suppressing, as its a fast round.
For less than 150 more, go with an Otter Creek Labs Polonium, may have to adjust the gas. Flow or Vent 5.56s if you have the cash. Have a vent 2 in jail for the 9mm sub to replace the Obsidian 9. I know noting about Witt.
The Hyperion I have is near hearing safe for 5.56 but prefer shooting that on a bolt.
1 good can is better than 2 ok cans. The tax stamp really makes this a PITA, I wish you could transfer an already registered to induvial/trust item for far less expense.

The real key to appreciated suppressing 5.56 is getting the muzzle as far away as practical. A 20" is going to be much more likely to be comfortable without hear protection compared to a 12.5". They all make my ears ring though.

I suppose one could experiment with adjustable gas blocks on multiple barrel lengths using the same load and possibly find an acceptable sound level by mitigating the amount of gas pushing the bolt carrier group rearward. However, they there is also the suppressor choice that makes quite a difference as well. For instance, all other aspects being the same, a Magnus will be quieter than a HUXWRX HX-QD 556 on a 20" AR shooting 5.56 or .223 loads. The trade off being more blow-back with the Magnus through the port for the charging handle which may be mitigated by a charging handle designed to help keep gas from flowing out that area.
