In a story which sounds to me to be much like Bremerton GC's own difficulties, and may very well have bearing on gun clubs åcross the nation, Glendale MO GC has been embroiled in legal issues for 40 years.

A succession of unsympathetic neighbors has hobbled operations which has lead to a winnowing of membership down to a shadow from its heydays.

Legal suits culminated in a settlement containing a twenty year sunset, and that time is up. Already invested by more than $200k in legal fees the membership is seeking relief that is facing the State's supreme court.

This is why I say EVERY range, airstrip, racetrack etc - everything Leftists hate - should ALWAYS have a shutdown clause in its charter/bylaws/etc that any shutdown sees the property IMMEDIATELY redeveloped into a landfill, a trailer park, or something similar that'll fill Karen's Cocoa Puffs bowl with drizzleshit and tank the Lefty neighbors' property values.

Whenever possible ranges should do what one commenter on that article said his does: buy ANY adjacent land that comes up for sale and amend the deed to include a "You are aware you are buying next to a shooting range and renounce any right to sue" clause before reselling.

And in other news NATO countries like Switzerland add gun ranges to increase gun training and ownership.

Switzerland also capped/stopped immigration recently (I'm pretty sure the referendum passed).
Now if they could only cap Klaus Schwab.

You'll never lawyer proof land use. It doesn't matter if it's rifle ranges or airports. We can't even lawyer proof farms, so there is no hope of anything else.

Kinda reminds me of the story i heard about a local golf course. Apparently the neighbors fought against it for decades, the guy built it anyway but couldnt get a business license or anything from the county, so it operated on donations. Finally fed up, he announced he was going to start a pig farm on the property instead, ofcourse that was all it took for the neighbors to change their mind and allow it.

From 30,000 feet, this is what happened to WAC. New laws, less attendance, fewer members, more new laws, even less attendance, barely breathing.

WAC had A LOT to do with their current situation.

Yep.

It was a rhetorical question for many, not so much for others.
