Time to add my old Sears 30-30. Pick up a beater... and give it new life.

I miss the good old days when they were begging people to buy 1894's at the gun show for less than $500. 1000+ for a 44 mag carbine seems a little high, I get it, a lot of machining and expensive labor goes into one, but it feels like a little bit of gouging is going on here when all the makers save Rossi, which isn't american, are starting their guns at $1000.

Is that a coin slot on the synthetic stock model? Maybe to make a phone call or get a pack of cigarettes? Now that would be retro.
