I think I've decided on what my new gun is going to be (once I meet my weight goal, only 5 lbs away). I want to get a Henry .45 Colt Big Boy or Big Boy Carbine. Walmart carries the brand, but I've never seen the exact model I'm looking for. Does anyone know if you can order one from them? They don't sell firearms online so there's no way to go that route.

I'd check out the Walmart Firearm Special Order Catalog. It has scannable UPC#. http://i.walmartimages.com/i/if/hmp/fus ... atalog.pdfThen talk to whoever manages the gun counter at your local store. Finding a Wal Mart employee capable of accomplishing this may be an impossible task.

I saw a couple of those Big Boys at the Covington Walmart Saturday, give them a call and see if that's what you are looking for.

Turns out they don't seem to carry the models I'm interested in, or at least I don't think so.EDIT: I checked the Henry SKU against the WM manufacturer's SKU, and they are the same, the picture doesn't look the same, but it's the same model number. I guess it's worth bringing the printed sheet I've got with me to the WM near me and see what happens.

Why Walmart and not one of the local gun stores?
Big Country Arms is a guy who runs an FFL out of his basement in Kirkland. and there are probably a billion other small guys around who would appreciate the business.
Tpryder, a member on this site, recently got his ffl. He's in Kenmore.

I have been in the Covington Wal-Mart to check on special order guns, they are one of the few that actually bother with it.
With that said, they were still higher than some of the price leader shops like Federal Way Discount Guns, Brad's in Bonney Lake, etc.

I second Ops with a recommendation of Brad's Guns in Lake Tapps. They helped me aquire a pistol I wanted for a long time at the lowest price out the door of any competitor I phoned. Here's all the Henry products in 45lc per their website. Order and pay on the website and you go pick it up so you don't pay shipping. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk

Went to the Monroe WM last night and had a nice chat with the guy at the gun counter. He's never seen a .45 Colt version come through the store, and they stopped doing custom orders about a year ago. Their prices are about on par with Brads, and about 90 minutes closer. It looks like Cabela's prices run about $80-100 more, so they're out. I might go drop in on DJ's and see what they've got on the wall. Are there any FFL's in the relatively close to Duvall area reading the thread who can get one for me?
