Who has one? I'm thinking this is the press for me since I can load from 9 mm to 308 so I have all my calibers covered. What's your experience with this one?

I don't have any experience with it myself (I use a Hornady LNL progress and a Lee Classic Turret), but here are some related discussions that might help: http://www.waguns.org/viewtopic.php?f=74&t=18465http://www.waguns.org/viewtopic.php?p=154461#p154461http://www.waguns.org/viewtopic.php?p=26333#p26333

The Loadmaster can be a bit finicky, but with the videos on the Lee web site, tuning the press is easy. I have loaded over 30000 rounds of pistol ammo for my 2 boys and one of my daughters, as well as letting a couple friends use the press at my house under my supervision. The biggest problem is the piece that sets on the shell holder to prevent it turning backwards (see picture) wears out after about 2500 - 3000 rounds. at $3.00 to replace, I buy 4 at a time and consider it cheap maintainence. Would I buy it again knowing what I know? For me the answer is yes, as my needs and requirements are much different than yours may be.

didn't see any dillons on cabelas' site, and i have a 100$ gift card. other discussions people were recommending the extra coin on a dillon. i'm aiming at reducing the coin spent.

it's functional, needs some fine tuning and lots of tricks on the website videos on how to make it better... (mine already has those tricks installed)
it's where i started and is good for about 200 rounds an hour as you have to go a bit slower to make sure everything is where it should be...
needs a smooth consistent stroke (insert joke) ... and you're good to go...
knowing what I know now...I'd buy the dillon 1050 straight up.. that said, it's a great place to start

Do yourself a favor and get either a Dillon 550, 650, or Hornady LnL progressive. If you like fiddle-farting around trying to keep a press clean and in adjustment more than spending your time loading, then get the Lee. You'll save enough on loading your own to pay for a real progressive, not something like the one Lee sells. Their single stage and turret press is OK but the provressive will make you throw things against the wall (maybe even the press)

deadshot2 wrote: Their single stage and turret press is OK but the provressive will make you throw things against the wall (maybe even the press) just to be clear, there are 2 progressives.. the loadmaster is doable.. (not perfect but doable (I didn't have to throw it or make it a doorstop) but the lee 1000 is junk... my major gripe is the priming system.. if you go too fast, it can cause problems... most of the people that complain it's junk are trying to make it run 400 rounds per hour which it's not equipped to do... I upgraded since I didn't want to spend too much time reloading... went with a LNL AP which is great and quick to change caliber wise... then on to a 1050.. problem is my 1050 ran for a few days a caliber at a time and after finishing 5000 rounds a caliber it's been idle for 9 months now... so a press choice really depends on a person's needs... that said, if you can swing a dillon 550 or 650 I'd recommend that... then again, remember that the press is less than half the setup cost, dies, plates, toolheads, etc make up the bulk of your cost... a 550 fully setup and functional will probably run a grand or more (several calibers)...

only planning on reloading 3 calibers, and only one of which i have all the components for at the moment anyways. just reloading in my apartment, i don't exactly have a ton of space to store ammo i've produced in the thousands. the bench i have now stores all my brass, powder, primers, projectiles and the multiple cans of ammo i already have. don't really need to crank out a shitload per hour, either.
i'm slow and methodical about doing things, since i want to do them right.
can't swing a dillon, since there are none on the cabelas' site. i would go for the hornady but i do have a 308 to finish as well. do i wait on getting the LNL over the lee?

I'd say the LNL is twice the press that the Lee is... then again, it's twice the cost... (that's before you add dies, bushings, case feeder, etc) if you're wanting to start single stage, I also have a new hornady classic press I can sell you.. it's my backup that I never used as the first one hasn't failed me yet...

i have absolutely zero interest in going single stage unless i'm pushing precision rounds out of some 28" barreled 300 win mag or some other shit.
