I have a Taurus 942, 3 inch 22LR I love it. Goes bang and is much cheaper than the higher end 22's the trigger is a bit grittier, but it's a learner for 22 and revolvers. For its role it does the job.

i bought a $250 taurus .357 15ish years ago. spent at least 1-2 weekends a month at the range for at least 6 months loading 1-2 rounds and blindly spinning before lining up a shot and pulling the trigger. (used to beat shot flinch reactions). beat the absolute shit out of the thing, never cleaned it. never once failed. would buy another.
