Have you tried job fairs and employment workshops?

https://www.worksourcewa.com/microsite/ ... seo=events

If you're a Vet, sign up for a variety of Veteran focused job fairs as well.

I've seen a number of recent job postings on this forum and elsewhere in your region.

Good luck.

Most of these jobs come with benefits

https://www.teamsters117.org/jobs

Also try school bus companies. Most of the larger ones will train you for your cdl- that you can take and get a good truck driving job. Trash, concrete, dump trucks.

I think this is local to Duvall / Snoqualmie Valley, so might be out of your area, plus has some requirements:

Driving and farm chores job. One day a week. 8hrs @ $20 an hour.
Requirements
Ability to start very early in the morning
4wd truck with good traction tires and decent towing ability and trailer brakes
Class III hitch, 2 5/16 ball
Hitch/unhitch trailers. Change tires etc
Safe driver with your own insurance etc
Comfortable around livestock (pigs)
Ability to lift heavy object (heavy duty pallets) and use pitchfork
Ability to make good decisions
Raingear, muckboots, and the willingness to get dirty
Looking for someone who wants a good paying one day of work a week. $20 hour for 8 hours. The job could be done in 6 hours if done right, but I'll pay for 8. The job could evolve into another day of work in the future
I currently need someone on Mondays but we could switch the day if required
PM me with questions if interested

If you're interested, I can get you in touch with the OP.

That would be excellent, but my truck isn`t 4WD, and it is in need of replacement tires very soon. And yeah, that`s a hell of a haul, shame it`s not closer, about perfect otherwise. Thank you for the tip nonetheless.

Maybe you should consider handing them politely to the HR person, rather than tossing them like a frisbee..

The YL told me to tell you that most LE agencies always have openings. She specifically mentioned corrections. I took a look at the city of Tacoma and saw this.

There are about a thousand openings at the Shelton facilities; just look at Indeed.com

At least years ago, most software places hired (often through temp agencies) software testers, varying from expert computer users to beginners who would see if they could just USE the program; May not be what you're used to but that's something to look at. Used to work doing embedded systems hardware / software but between those jobs took the occasional SW Test job, it pays bills and nowadays should pay $20ish anyways, depending on your computer skills. Look at places like Volt (if they're still about; I haven't been keeping up due to injury.)
