Need a personal tax advisor - Redmond/Duvall/Wood/Kirk

Sun Jun 18, 2017 4:58 pm

I need to find a tax advisor for future events. Someone not a million miles away.

I use Chris Vattaks (Community Business Services) in Duvall for business tax prep, as does my wife for her mom's properties, etc. They do OK. Make a mistake or two, but are OK for getting tax done and in, and make things right. I now need someone who can help with decisions about money from trusts, inherited properties, carrying paper, retirement, selling businesses, etc. One thing at a time I can handle, but I need to view too much as whole. A sharp person to keep me out of tax traps.

TIA.

We use Clear Accounting Solutions. It's a small company and they do good work. Never had a problem and they are reasonably priced.

you need a lawyer, a REAL financial advisor (NOT a financial salesman at edward jones/merrill lynch/wells fargo), and a CPA.

it is a huge mistake to trust a CPA with legal and retirement advice. it's not their area of expertise

Good stuff, thanks guys.

Of course I have my whole life (59 next month) avoided financial sales weasels.
