Curious if anyone knows of an ssdi lawyer that can help me on an appeal in a fight to retain my social security disability insurance? I was approved and making medical progress within 6 months later moved up here (family reasons) and after getting approved after a long battle I was told due to it being a new state (even though I thought Medicare was federal?) within maybe 5 minutes with a state appointed dr I received notice I was no longer qualified when any of my specialists would and have been extremely confused how I was denied after approval when they were going on previous accepted diagnoses and lab work and MRIs when those were the same ones that had me previously qualified me but now getting the run around and I think it's the right choice to seek legal aid and actually get healthy enough to get back to work which should be fairly soon I hope but I'm stuck in red tape of healthcare garbage.

Just thought I'd ask in case someone had a recommendation they believed in or has used even. Better than a random choice in the yellow pages or google search I would assume?

Would be greatly appreciated.

I would contact Christy Thompson Ibrahim, of Jones and Ibrahim. http://seattledisabilitylaw.com/index.html
Being the parent of 2 children with special needs, I have had the pleasure of attending classes and lectures presented by Christy on multiple occasions over the past 15 years, as well as using her services and that of her predecessor, Larry Jones (retired). You will not find anybody more knowledgeable on disability law in the state of Washington than Ms. Ibrahim. Her mother, Margaret-Lee Thompson founded King County Parent Coalition and has been a strong advocate in the special needs community for decades. In addition, Christy and her staff are very informative and easy to talk with.
