If you are working with Uber, I'd like to talk with you one on one. I'd even be good for a free lunch at a fast food place. I'm in Auburn.
pm me...

I'd be curious how that works too. I don't like the idea of someone riding in my car for security reasons. Be interested to see how 2A minded folks deal with that.

My close friend drives uber right now. He used to spend the summers in Alaska but got sick of that. Now he's looking to get into IT testing and is doing uber to pay the bills while job hunting.
He pulled in appx. $7k last month working 6-8 hours a day M-F. Cost of gas was about $1k.
I'm considering doing it part time after my regular job as a ways to pay down student loan faster and buy fancy fucking shit.

Not to hijack, I know you want a real participant to PM you....but....
I know of one person who loved it, couldn't speak highly enough of it, and they did Über and Lyft...
I know of another who hated it, and quit after the umpteenth drunk threw up in the back of their car....
All that to say, I think time of day and location (obviously), make a huge difference.
I would think the airport would be a good place, but there was some on-again, off-again news about whether Ubers could actually be on site, so some would sit adjacent to the airport...
Hope you get the info you're looking for.

Hope you get the info you're looking for. Uber pays you $150 if someone throws up in your car to compensate you having someone clean it. Or you can glove up and do it yourself.

I work with a sales rep who drives for both Uber and Lyft. When he leaves work at 5, he cruises home, changes, then heads out for a few hours each night.
The back seat of his car is setup nice. USB plugs, chargers, a small basket with snacks and he keeps a cooler full of drinks on ice in the trunk.

are you able to view and accept rides? for example, I could very easily take someone from SeaTac down to Federal Way or something, but I wouldn't want to accept if it is too far out of my way.

Keep the passengers happy Definitely. You want to keep a higher "star" rating because too many negative and they can boot you. I also heard in LA (not confirmed here yet) that when you do over 75 good rated trips per week, Uber pays you out more.

I can't stand Uber drivers that ask me to rate them 5 Stars. I rate them less than I would have just for asking. How about you go wait tables and asked the customer to give you more than 20% tip.

Could always add extra airbags under the rear seats for 'passenger safety'. joao01 wrote: I'd be curious how that works too. I don't like the idea of someone riding in my car for security reasons. Be interested to see how 2A minded folks deal with that.

Last I heard Uber was Anti 2A? Drivers are not allowed to carry? yeah yeah I know your car, concealed is concealed, etc.. just saying.... RusoArmo wrote: My close friend drives uber right now. Any idea what sort of vehicle he was driving? I am a taller guy and can make legroom in backseats a bit tight in cars I own.. Site says money deposited to your "bank account", but another page says you need a free Uber Debit card.. Heard lots of horror stories about employers that pay you with a debit card account, and fees etc.. Anyone know the low down on that?
