Looks like a set of stamps, not engraving tools.

I'm really interested in that laser engraving. Mmalleck's wife suggested getting a teddy bear with the serial numbers engraved in the toes on a receiver. You know, something fun.

Stamping is acceptable but, stamping is not engraving.

Trevor at Hyperion Precision! Went in on Saturday and got it done in a few minutes. The biggest hassle was driving from Tacoma to Kent, but I'll definitely be going back to Trevor.

Yep, Trevor is your guy. He did my Form 1 can and my Form 1 soon-to-be-SBR (AR lower, on the lip of the mag well). It was fast and easy, and the quality of his work is top notch. :thumbsup2:

Don't forget to leave feedback for Trevor if you've dealt with him. Make the system work!

Its doable, and legal, just difficult to make it not look like shit. I have a stainless can, I gave it a try and it looked like shit, light strikes/slightly off on the restrikes etc, so I went with a Dremel. :thumbsup2: Looked "better-ish". Had my SBR receiver engraved at a trophy shop for $10.

If you go to a trophy shop, be sure to ask what machine they are doing it on. If they say laser, ask what kind. Most trophy shops have Co2 lasers, which will NOT engrave into metal. They can peel a coating off, that's it.

Their laser isn't powerful enough for engraving.
