Planning on buying a safe soon. It'll be "curbside" delivery. Just wondering if there's anyone in the Lacey/Olympia area that has a sturdy furniture dolly I could borrow for part of a day. It isn't anything huge or super heavy, but do need to get it upstairs. Not sure when, haven't ordered the safe yet so don't have a delivery date. Let me know! Thanks! Dave

Says 4-6 weeks for delivery, so might not be for awhile. Almost made me go with the one in the store when I read that! I'll let you know when I hear it's gonna be here.

My holster is supposed to be here TODAY so there! And it's only been a hair over a month...DOH! It's been a bitch typing on the computer lately with my fingers crossed all day LOL. And my HSTs are supposed to be following on Friday. So all should be good to go for this weekend!

Just a tip. I moved into a third floor apartment years ago and had to move my safe up the stairs. My "helper" was the locksmith that sold me the safe. When we started to move it out of where it was located originally he said "Why don't we make it lighter and take off the door?" Seems like the door just lifted off the hinges real simple and when closed and locked the frame held it in place. Almost 1/3 of the weight was in the door. Made the job a lot easier even though it took two trips.

I also bought one of these costco cannon safes, they're around 450lbs, moved it myself but no stairs involved. If you're going inside, measure measure measure! Just because it can make it through the door doesn't mean it can pivot around corners. Also account for the room for the dolly. I used a large dolly I picked up from Harbor Freight, which is available if you need it, doesn't have the strap though
