Older Autodesk AutoCAD 2000, and BeckerCAD 3D, newer AutoCAD is like $1K+ a year for a license. I can do 2D and 3D Mechanical, and mostly 2D Architectural/Floorplan drafting.

Good luck! I worked with AutoCAD 2000 in high school, and used to use DraftSight before Dassault decided to be complete dickweeds and spike the low-cost "hobbyist/home use" license.

I’m on Autodesk Architecture 2023 and Sketchup. If you can ever justify architecture, I’d reccomend it. The tool set is just below Revit and you can create 3D on the fly.
