However, this psa is in regards to WTS/WTT that have been popping up lately with particular language in them.

Plenty of other threads to discuss legalities. Let’s not derail this one.

What was going on? People selling lower receivers at an FFL and then later selling the upper, but not clearly in a separate transaction?

Massivedesign wrote: Recently, we have been noticing an uptick in people attempting to be creative in wording their ads to bypass the recent law changes regarding background checks. This is NOT okay. Please reference the WaGuns Members Code of Conduct, specifically #'s 5 & 7. Quote: ...5) Compliance with Laws - All WaGuns users are expected to comply with all local, state and federal laws when posting on the site. Please be aware that the Administration of WaGuns will comply with all legitimate law enforcement requests for information related to active investigations. ... 7) Representing Our Community - It is expected that all members will represent our firearms community in a positive light. Do not post anything that may cause embarrassment to WaGuns or the firearms community in general. When placing WTS/WTT/WTB ads, DO NOT try and word it to circumvent the law. We understand (and share) your disgust with these new laws infringements. A lot of us chant silently (and some, not-so-silently) "We will not comply", "#F1639" etc. We get it, we do. However the buyer and seller decide to complete their transactions, privately, is their business and their business alone. All we ask is that when posting on WaGuns, we don't bring a negative light to this community by openly posting or suggesting that the transaction will break the law. We can't sit here and yell at our politicians and MSM to enforce the 23,000 laws on the books while openly saying fuck the law. At least, not yet. We don't want to be known as the "Backdoor" of gun sites. We would like to be here, open and online to continue to help fight this fight. Please help us to do that. Thanks all, Dan, Steve and the Mod Squad OK, sure will do, but on the other hand, we can and do discuss these things. With ZERO particulars, how much of this "legitimate law enforcement requests for information related to active investigations" happens? Please don't hide behind a singular active case. But rather in general how many per given six month period. Thanks.

We’ve never received a request from any LEA, and we would like to keep it that way.

Just saying... But instead of bumping up half the threads with your read the rules speech , just do an approval setup. Everyday half of my unread posts are you telling people to change something.... Again just saying an approval system , that way there up to your standards.

So then mods get home from work and have the chance to read and approve EVERY FOR SALE LISTING that they have not already cherrypicked they can approve them all at once. Could also be pretty entertaining to see the mad scramble @5:30 of people trying to beat each other for the left over scraps. No worries though, the mods have no life and live to serve and spend all their time babysitting and approving every post because a minority of people cannot behave or just goof on their listing. I have been on forums that are that way, approval for posts, it is annoying, cumbersome & labor intensive for the admin/mods and stiffles the community. Hard NO in my book.

I do approval for first post ever, because it weeds out the spammers. But for this, yeah, I wouldn't want to deal with this, as a mod or admin.
