I can confirm that this holsters is truly badass when riding bikes (mountain, road, dirt, quads, etc), hiking, and just plain old walking around. It's very adjustable, doesn't flop around, and feels secure. Depending on activity, hip carry is sometimes cumbersome and isn't the most convenient. This type of chest rig solved a lot of issues.

Can it be used for conceal carry or is it too bulky out front?

I wouldn't say this would be a good concealed carry rig, not really the intended purpose for this holster setup.

Agreed. It isn't the best at concealing, but can be done depending on what firearm and clothing selection. If you wear a hooded sweatshirt, jacket, etc. Under a t-shirt....it wouldn't work so well. Additionally, body type will play a role if you can conceal well or not.
