Had a Emerson cqc sharpened there.
Normally I do my own sharpening but the chisel grind Emerson uses and I just dont get along and it had become quite a nightmare in how not to sharpen a knife.
Sent it in to Emerson for re sharpening and it came back equally as dull as my best attemps but at alot greater cost
So after a couple years of sitting in the sock drawer not getting use I decided to do something about it and stopped in at Vulcan to see what couldnt be done.
Walking into the store I was greeted by a nice older lady and plenty of sharp pointy things on display.
I briefly explained what I was looking to have done, handed over my dull waved paperweight, and 10 minutes later they returned to me an knife with an edge a ninja would be proud of.
Cost was around $10, Victory over a habitually dull knife was priceless (R.I.P Charlie Murphy).
So while I'll continue to sharpen most of my own knives, its nice to known theres hope close by to save a dull blade while you wait.
Also, if you have kids or are just a big kid yourself, theres a lego specialty store directly across from Vulcan.
