I know!! I want one of these SOOOO badly. But only lint in my pocket.

I finger fucked one of these at a friend's house. Seems like a mighty nice deal. Will report more if/when I get the opportunity to shoot one.

Going out now to sit on the freeway on-ramp with a sign that says: Please help! Need money for PSA AR-10

These seem to be modeled after the DPMS AR10 GenII's that have proportions like an AR15. Nice and compact. They don't have the DPMS proprietary dual ejectors, and my friend guesses that those changes to the BCG have allowed PSA to skirt the patent.

I've been waiting for these uppers to come in-stock since I saw them just before black friday and didn't buy them, then they went oos.

I picked up a part time gig on top of the 50hr work week.

I hear that on-ramp thing is good, $100 per day. ;)

Kind of a coin-toss between these uppers and the ones with the 15" m-LOK rails.

While I really like the M-LOK rail, it's slightly heavy and the gas block is buried under it. (you can get blems of it right now for $399)

With the ones in your link the sight post/gasblock is accessible and you could swap out the A-2 sight post for an adjustable gas block in case you wanted to run a can.

Aforementioned friend said that he is of the opinion that most of the AR10's he's seen are over gassed so even if you aren't running a can, the adjustable GB is a good idea.

I've had one of the gen 1 PA-10 rifles for a few years now and really like it.

IMO it's definitely worth another $100-$200 for the uppers with the free float handguards and stainless barrels.

Definitely use an adjustable gas block. This is not really optional for a 308 AR, unless you only ever plan to use cheap mil surplus ball ammo. Every 308 AR I've ever shot (including the PA-10) was overgassed from the factory. 90% of the issues you hear about with 308 AR rifles are due to overgassing and people not knowing how to tune them well.

I suggest using a side-adjustable gas block (especially on these mid-length barrels) for easier access with a hex wrench. If you have to drill an access hole in the handguard, so be it, but that's easier than trying to reach in from the front, especially with a long handguard and shorter gas system.

Pic cause we're all window lickers here. PA-10 on top with 18" 308 barrel, 16" 5.56 below.

I've done a little weight reduction on the barrel and bolt carrier of this PA-10, so it only weighs 1/4 lb more than the 5.56 as pictured with empty mags in both. (to be fair the Streamlight on the 5.56 is about 4 oz so the true difference is about 1/2 lb.)

I bought both the PA-10 with standard hand guards, and then one of the G2 PX10s with the MLok. When they did the G2-PX10, it cost about $635 after shipping the two halves out separate.

The PA10 was $459, free ship, for the two halves. Both feel like huge bargains, but I think I would have rather just bought more G2-PX10s rifles and less PA10s.

I have a blem upper from PSA and you can not tell it is a blem, it is the one I brought up to the pit last time we shot together. I am thinking if I do not find the RDB for a reasonable deal that I might get my buddy and me Psa AR10`s with the Stainless barrel and M-Lock with the Magpul Stock
