Thanks for the info. The only Aero part is the upper. Its the rest of the parts I'm not familiar with..

Jukk0u let me borrow his Giesselle reaction rod for my builds. It locks into the star chamber in the barrel. Zero torque on the upper. Check them out, very cool tool!

I’ve used a clamshell for years without issue.
I did just get a magpul bev block and will probably start using that in stead though.
I bought it for a BCM upper that was a bitch to get apart. Everything was on the tight side, including the fit of the barrel extension onto the bev block. Not sure if that was a BCM thing.
