How was the packaging for the shipping of the three buckets. I ordered three buckets as well along with some .22 LR. the 22 LR was shipped separately and received it today. The packaging was horrible, two of the boxes cracked open and spilled out during shipment. Just a simple sheet of thin bubble wrap was used. Hoping the three buckets are packaged much better. Should be receiving it tomorrow.

The difference a few hours makes... I was pretty much on your heels ordering... but with the "challenges" they threw my way delivery won't be until Wednesday. (ETA)

That sucks about the .22LR . . . I've had similar problems in the past with shitty packaging. :angryfire:

The packing for my 9mm buckets wasn't bad. They shipped them in the original Remington box, which is a cardboard box with four custom-made compartments for the buckets. Since I ordered only three buckets, one compartment was empty.

So, it was fine. The buckets seem fairly durable too, so I think they'll help with the abuse even if the cardboard box is less than ideal.

Mine showed up earlier today as well. Packaging was exactly as described.

Same same.
Darned shame they couldn't have just made the rebate for 4 buckets. I somehow felt ripped off to receive a package with a missing bucket. :cussing:

I got my .45 today, reasonably well packed for a single bucket. The two buckets of 9mm aren't scheduled to be here until Friday, then I'll send my rebate form in.

Just a reminder . . . you can start the rebate process online if you wish. Go here:
https://remington.rebateaccess.com/prer ... ?p=76946&m

Add the products that you ordered, then enter your personal info. It will then "submit" your rebate, and you'll need to print the PDF form that gets produced.

Then, you mail in the printed rebate form, your receipt, and the UPC codes from the ammo. Note the instructions about putting the UPC codes on a SEPARATE piece of blank paper.

The UPC codes just peel off the bucket with a little fingernail work. Don't go Rambo on the ammo bucket with your pocket knife.

How did you get the UPC codes without having recv'd the ammo?

I didn't do it until I had the ammo in hand. I just meant that you can type and print, rather than print and hand-write.

Got mine. One bucket banging around a big box with no packing material. I'm surprised that the bucket was not broken open.

Did anyone ever get those Ammo cans that were on sale a while back, or was it a gimmick? icon_eek

I wondered if any of this ammo was in the semi that overturned on I-5 the other day.

In the reviews on-line at Academy many of the buyers claim that the buckets were short 20-30 even 40+ rounds. Any of you count them?

I know, it’s my same old tired story. While my ammo box wasn’t damaged, the FedEx driver didn’t bother (again) to put either of the two packages that we received (including the ammo) in the lockbox. They were just sitting on the front step.
