A promotion to stimulate ammo sales in Seattle? The rebate offsets the tax.

I just ordered a 1,000-rd case of Independence 5.56 55gr (SKU# XM193I) for $299.50 from Target Sports USA. With the rebate, I'll get $50 back and my ammo will cost $0.25/rd. Great deal!

Great deal! Might want to cancel that order. The rebate looks like it's only good on American Eagle brand. Also, reading the fine print, it says only 100 rounds per submission and 2 submissions per household. Hope that's a typo and supposed to read 1000 rounds per submission. And it's minimum 100 rounds per household, maximum 4000 rounds ($200).

Right in the middle of the page: https://sporting.myonlinerebate.com/ima ... _cents.pdfYeah, the rebate Web page says American Eagle, but then the PDF with the SKU list includes other federal brands like Independence. I made sure to check the list before I bought. And even without the rebate, a case of 5.56 for $300 delivered is still a good deal. However, it does appear that if you buy your ammo packaged in 20-rd boxes (like I did), you have to clip out each UPC from each box. Buying a case in bulk or with larger sub-units would be less work.

Target Sports USA is sold out. Next best deal I could find was Palmetto State: http://palmettostatearmory.com/independence-5-56-nato-55gr-fmj-ammunition-20rds-xm193i.htmlIt's slightly over a penny more per round with shipping

I just ordered a couple of these: http://www.sgammo.com/product/223-556mm ... e-city-ammThis one is a really good price ($300 for 1000). Almost went with it but decided I wanted 556 XM193 rather than plain old 223. Btw West Coast Armory has the same case for $400! http://www.sgammo.com/product/223-556mm ... loose-packSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This is a decent deal, too: http://palmettostatearmory.com/1000-rounds-independence-5-56-nato-55gr-fmj-ammo-ten-10-magpul-30rd-pmag-gen-m2-5-56-magazines.html1,000 rds Independence 5.56 55gr FMJ ammo + 10 Gen M2 PMAGs $349.99 + $29.50 shipping - $50 rebate = $329.49 delivered So, one way to look at it is you get your ammo for $0.30/rd and your PMAGs for $2.95 each. Not bad!

Sooo, anyone successfully remove a bar code from one of the 420 round ammo cans? Got one thats good for the rebate, but how the hell do you remove the bar code sticker off the can without destroying it?

I used to use zippo lighter fluid and a razor blade to remove labels when I worked retail. Maybe that would do the trick?

I haven't seen this sticker in particular, but in general I use heat to remove stickers. I use a heat gun (on low, carefully), or a hair dryer might do the trick too. Get it warm, use a knife to get under the corner, and then carefully peel it back.
