That looks like a good deal to me. I won't buy new cans designed for gasoline because of the anti-spill ( ) device that the manufacturers are forced by law to be equipped with. Looks like this can is not so burdened.

Welded seam is an outie instead of an innie outtie. That's a sign. Sign of what? I don't know. All the jerry cans in this price range have an outtie. Ones that cost more have have an innie outie
One product sells for $80 and the other for $20 yet both look alike.
The $80 one weighs 11 pounds. Wonder what the $20 one weighs?
One gets to find out what the differences are AFTER something else in the pickup bed slams into it. I wonder which one will leak first from getting punctured by a sliding tool box etc.

I bought one of these, and it has a regular non epa spout. It seems like a good can. Better than those gd PC cans they sell now. They are narrow so you need to stabilize/tie down when transporting. I also sprayed the bottom with a few coats of bed liner spray.

I'd get the sceptre cans @ Costco before I got those... No telling what metal was used, what chemical resistant lining, if any, there is, etc.
But... I'm already set....

Sorry Techno, but I personally strongly dislike those metal GI gas cans. I used them when I was on active duty before they were phased out. They leak because the seal wears out or gets lost. You need a hammer to open them up or similar tool due to having to close the open so tight it won't leak. The Donkey dick rusts, the seal on that gets old and leaks and spills freaking diesel, mogas or other liquid all over the damn place. Also we had to cover them or pad them during Airborne operations due to being a ferrous based metal, could cause sparks, so the Air Force states. Go figure. The Plastic replacements are better but still have some issues but hold up well with the usual GI abuse.
