Done, but I can't help like feeling it is as useful as writing a letter to Santa.

Sent out some emails today.
We need to introduce some of our own bills.

In this case, emailing your representatives and senators might prime the pump, but really they can't do anything for you until these are passed out of committee.
They won't see the legislation unless it does.
So the big thing, right now, is to contact the committee members to urge them to NOT pass it out of committee. (passing out of committee means then the house and the senate will take up the measures for debate and vote to implement or not.)
Killing these things in committee is the best possible scenario.
seven members: Pederson (chair) Mangey Dingo (vice chair) Angel (she really is one of our angels) Padden Wilson Darnielle Frockt

I used parts from several posted letters to make mine as I'm not the greatest writer. Feel free to steal it too. It just makes the character limit. Quote: I am concerned this proposed legislation is attacking law-abiding citizens, and does nothing to curtail the actions of criminals. It would only make it harder for citizens to lawfully protect themselves and render firearms in the home useless for self defense. I urge you to be vocal in your opposition to bills that infringe on our rights. These rights are natural rights, which the 2nd Amendment states Shall Not Be Infringed. Please understand that we, as law-abiding citizens, are victims of the actions of criminals. Every time a criminal uses a firearm for crime, we are attacked and punished. We need to stop attacking the victims, and start punishing the criminals. You should know that I fully support many common-sense firearm legislation, such as the Hearing Protection Act, National Reciprocity, and harsher punishment for firearm theft.
with regards,
Port Orchard, Wa
And here is the reply from Jan Angel. Quote: Joshua I certainly will stand strong and I agree with you

This morning I sent the form NRA mail. I just sent another, customized this time except for the first and last lines: Quote: As a law-abiding Second Amendment supporter in Washington, I urge you to please oppose Senate Bills 5444, 5463, 5992, 6049, and 6146.
I want to extend an invitation to our Washington legislators to come to the range with me if you have any questions about any of the topics contained in these or similar bills. Want to try a bump-fire stock? Want to use a semi-automatic rifle and compare it to other types? Please let me know and I'll be happy to arrange an opportunity for you to use and learn about these, either privately or with others if you wish.
I'm also happy to answer any questions via email or telephone (425-xxx-xxxx).
I believe that one of the challenges that our legislators face is that they are asked to vote on firearms topics about which some have little real-world experience, and I can assure you that the facts are usually quite different than what is presented in the media.
Again, please consider opposing Senate Bills 5444, 5463, 5992, 6049, and 6146. Thank you. Let's hope for the best here. Also, I should mention . . . if you want the pre-written email that's already addressed to the committee members, then what you want to do is go to this link: https://act.nraila.org/default.aspx. . . and then click on Washington state. (That's the one in the upper left. )

Well tge NRA could stop the legislature in New York and Colorado, doubt they can do anything now when the states rights are involved. Best thing is to write and be proactive.
