Me: So? I can't fathom why it would matter if a song is racist or not. Or if it's sexist or not. Or if it contains one iota of a thought that I don't agree with. You could put any of the current hysteria-inducing -ist or -phobic monikers in there (sexist, homophobic, etc.) and my response would be the same. "So?" Seriously, who fucking cares? A song being racist -- I am NOT suggesting that I think "Jingle Bells" is actually racist -- doesn't stop someone from getting a home loan or getting a job or sitting where they like on the bus or, really, from doing anything. So who gives a damn? There's going to be shit in this life that you don't like. Better get used to it, sugar pie.
