I just got my Leelbox (Android tv box) up and running after letting it sit almost all summer. (updates are current) Come to find out many, many channels are now requiring 'pairing' in order to work. The one or two that I could find that didn't require to be 'paired' would only play one or two minutes and then go into buffering. This happened enough that it was unwatchable. So I'm thinking maybe my speed is down. Nope, look at my results. http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/6882737162So for those that are hacked into an android tv box, are they working OK? Has anything changed? Anything to look for? Hints?

Interesting. Fast.com said 64Mbps. Speedtest said 101Mbps down 127up. Wonder why the difference.

Some of those report peak as opposed to mean speeds. Silly.

In this case, it's the source. They can't send the stream fast enough.

So why is my upload waaaaay faster than others? I just ran it again and it was 131Mbps upload. When I had comcast the upload # was always way lower than the download.

The way fiber is pulled, you have 2 cables. One for downstream, one for upstream. So they can both be fast. All the rest of us on Cable, there is only 1 cable. There is only so much frequency that can be used. So they allocate more of the frequency for downstream, than for upstream.

We just got it this week and the service has been really spotty so far. The installer was too lazy to fish wires up an inside wall so he just drilled in from the outside and told my wife I'd just have to use a wireless card for my desktop. I like to online game so the wireless, needless to say, just doesn't cut it. I'm having them come back out next week to fish the wires up the wall so I can direct connect my desktop to the router. On top of that the wireless network has been dropping in and out constantly. Signal. No signal. Signal but no internet. Frustrating. On the upside we were paying $210 before taxes for Comcast and it's only $134 with Frontier for all the same services plus a bunch of movie and sports channels we didn't have before. Their picture quality isn't as good as comcast and the menus/guide are not as well thought out, but for $80 less a month we'll deal with it.
