Too bad we're not doing an AR pistol build, I'd donate a phase 5 buffer tube....maybe next time.
Also it would be pretty cool if we could get a member that does home creakote paint jobs to do an American flag or big WAguns logo on the side.

January?
I was thinking we can get this together by the new years shoot.
Actually, I was thinking we should get this together AT the new years shoot, at least the upper anyway.
Or is the goal to raffle off a box of parts?

January was when i was talking about a different PIF, one that i would do because the Panda is all worn out from 2 of them already. db-elwood wrote: Too bad we're not doing an AR pistol build, I'd donate a phase 5 buffer tube....maybe next time. Keep that in mind for January, if it will work for a 9mm pistol build.

I dug around in my spare parts and found the bolt. Let me know if you need it.

I've been gone for a day... This is impressive. Seriously loving it. sinus211's idea for this build was brilliant. We should do this more often. sinus211 is a beast (in a good way,) but if we do this on a regular basis, we could pick volunteer leaders so Mike has a chance to recuperate. I'm picturing a thread in which extra parts are offered until a complete unit is boxed, then a build party and a drawing (or a raffle depending.) I'm betting that many of us will learn about ARs from reading the thread (I already have.) Nutty Idea to make this a semi-regular thing?

BTW- I think the idea of putting this together at the NY Shoot is brilliant. I'd be hanging around that table the whole time trying to soak up knowledge from you AR guys.

Well, IF you're planning on doing it outside at a range a fresh new large tarp should be included in the build.
Launching just one detent and spring while inserting a take down pin is gonna suck....and bring the build to a halt.
Unless someone has some spares.
Cold fingers can easily loose control of teeny tiny spring loaded parts.
Aaaand with the sling Ill toss in ten bucks cash money toward what mike spent today......
