Went to the range today and shot for the first time since early September. Dr released me from all physical restrictions effective Monday so I joined my regular shooting group this morning. Colder than crap but I could have cared less.
Got to put some rounds down the new barrel and out of 5 groups of 5 shots, 3 of them fit between ..5 MOA and .25 MOA. First group had a 3 shot group in it that was sub .25 MOA but it was my "sighter".
All shooting was at 200 yards and that new barrel is fantastic. This is with a load I used on a much older factory barrel just to see if it would make a good starting point. Next week it's "load adjustment time" and we hope to prove that a barrel "style" that essentially started as a manufacturing efficiency design, a 2 groove 30 caliber barrel, has LR and ELR potential today with high BC bullets and better powders.
It's good to be back
