I sold/tossed my snowshoes years ago. Just got a new pair of new fangled shoes. What are some cool places up the 2 or the 90? Time off around Christmas!!

Mt. Rainier or Mt. St. Helens. I am aware both are farther south than what you specified, but the views can't be beat.

Hi Pablo a great place up Highway 2 would be the Stevens Pass Nordic Center. Cross country ski resorts are pretty serene/quiet and allow snowshoeing on the track also though you have to be mindful of skate skiers who can move pretty quickly on skis. https://www.stevenspass.com/site/mountain/nordicThis way you also don't have to worry about avalanche hazard evaluation and terrain recognition as nordic resorts are either situated in non-hazardous terrain or have risk management/avalanche control. The other benefit is you can go by yourself without a partner(s) if the fancy strikes at any time. In the off chance you get injured on the track, then nordic ski patrol will be around several times a day to help you out. Also you don't really need to carry a pack as you can leave what's needed at the base lodge then return for lunch. If you want to venture off the beaten path recommend reading up on avalanche hazard and possibly taking a class. The other hazard to be aware of is tree well safety when the snow pack is deep. Google will help you there. Basically just give a wide berth to large trees to avoid winding up head down in a large, melted out tree well surrounding the tree trunk itself. Several folks have died while tree skiing at Crystal Mt alpine resort this way when fresh powder falls deeply into the tree well. Then they're not obvious. Also if going off the beaten path in backcountry recommend always having a partner in case of injury or accident.

Avalanche beacon also a good idea. The High Hut trail is super long, super steep, and definitely challenging, but features an awesome cabin you can stay in at the top. Pretty sure the hut is first come first served. http://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/high-hut-mt.-tahoma-trails
