May be ideal knife material with edge tempering for hardness ?
Think Japanese sword making, where they clay tempered blades to harden the edge, but preserved flexibility in the rest of the blade for durability. I've seen lots of cool blade work come from those old blades....

Have you used the bending jig? Was it for a specific bend, or size of bend? Looking good. I think I was playing with 7 rubber ducks and a squeezy frog while you were Forgng with Fire.
Your using MIG in spray mode, yes? Scratching my head about the porosity. What is your CFM gas setting? Also, 75/25 mix?

I've seen them used by my instructor (youtube). That shitty weld was TIG. I do think I solved some of the porosity issue, the welder points at my table and every time the fan kicked on, my welds looked shitty. I now have a deflector in front of the fan.

Yes it was definitely a guess you with your fan pushing your shielding gas out of the welding cup maybe move your fan down on the floor

oly your tip should be about 1/4 out from the shielding cup, holding it at a 70' as you go. push it rather than pull as you weld

I like the plain look. Are any of these works of art being sold yet, or are you amassing a massive bottle opener collection?

I got one from him and it's the best bottle opener I've ever used.
