Wasn't there a fight between a customer and an employee at another fast food place somewhere around here? I seem to remember a guy knocking over a bunch of cups and the employee tackled him, then got stabbed by the customer in return. I don't even remember the details, it was all just very weird.

The piece I read said the manager was 20 years old.
He's a 20 year old manager? Either he's really good, or that franchisee doesn't want to pay for experience. Not in any way faulting the manager if he felt threatened, but if he was more mature, or had more experience, maybe things would have been different. Like maybe just call the police, especially of there was a history.... |

Good for the manager Well, glad you feel so strongly for the youth of today... A McD's franchise costs between $1 & $2+ million, with $750,000 being liquid assets. If it were me, I would want someone with experience taking care of those kind of assets. I think it's great he had a weapon of some kind, that's awesome, but a large group that won't leave warrants a call to po-po.... And it was 2:30 in the afternoon on a Saturday, not like 2 am....where you need somebody to cover.... I hope this ends well for the guy. |

Probably a shift lead, or assistant manager.
I had a friend who was a McD store manager, she didn't work Saturdays. Heh.... Knew a gal who was a night manager at McD. Halloween, a couple guys wearing masks rang the buzzer on the back door. She opened the door and told them to leave. They tried getting in, and she pushed them back.
