A "multiple shooting" was reported early Wednesday at a congressional baseball game practice field in Alexandria, Va.

ABC 7 News reported a "multiple shooting" in the 400 block of E. Monroe Street.

The suspect is "believed in custody," ABC reported, according to Alexandria police.

GOP Whip Steve Scalise and two Capitol Police officers on protective detail were shot, according to multiple reports

A reporter from Fox News also tweeted that staffers were hit.

Shooter asked a rep who was leaving before the shooting started "Is that Republicans or democrats practicing?"

Then opened fire upon learning they were republicans.

House Majority Whip Steve Scalise and Rep. Roger Williams were shot and multiple congressional aides were also hit by a gunman with a rifle who opened fire at a GOP baseball practice in Virginia Wednesday morning, Fox News confirmed.

The gunman was shot by U.S. Capital Police, apprehended and taken to the hospital, officials said. Sen. Mike Lee told Fox News, however, the gunman was dead.

If this shooter happens to be one of those Antifa / radical left anarchist types I hope the push comes to classify them as Domestic Terrorists.

The "news" and the celebrities on the left that have been pushing this violence towards Trump and the Republican party should know that their bullcrap is going to have to stop.

The correct response is needed... and this is the first time in ages that I can have a reality-based hope that our direct speaking President can actually deliver.

The incorrect response is to react in a fear-based manner and talk about restricting our RIGHTS to help us feel safer.
The correct response is to decry the violence against unarmed people, and ask the question : "How would this have been different if the people practicing had been responsible for their own safety and had been armed?"
Let's hope that our President has given some thought to this and has good solid advisors on the topic.
