Well, he's qualified to be a Democrat.

The idiosyncrasies of his campaign do not end there. “I know I’m innocent,” he said this week during a video call from a county jail in Boise, the state capital, where he has been held for almost two weeks for a probation violation. “I’m going to push forward.” When it comes to unlikely electoral bids, Minton may be in a league of his own. Personal difficulties aside, he must contend with three Republican candidates in a place that hasn’t chosen a Democratic governor in decades. That’s not to mention any other Democrats who might run against him for the 2018 vote in the thinly populated Western state. _________________ NRA Endowment Member. At least this guy is starting out in Jail. In other states their Governors end up in Jail.

Pierce County had a guy running for sheriff while he was in jail. And got a bit over 50k votes. Then somehow was placed on the Pierce Transit committee, again while in jail. Then a few years later he decided to try using an elderly lady's credit card and military ID to try and buy pepper spray from a gun store, walk back in with a bat to get his coffee cup, then step on the gas almost hitting a gun store owner who was calling the sheriff's office and getting the license plate number. This of course led to the good Mr. Hill having two pistol pointed at him, the owner and an off duty Correction's Officer.
