Remember, Maduro last week took the hundreds of thousands of guns that were confiscated from citizens a few years ago and handed them out to his supporters. The guns were originally confiscated for "safety reasons". That sounds eerily familiar.

No doubt about this. I hope the innocent people are OK and they can start fresh with a decent form of democracy and capitalism.

Unfortunately this is a case of the sheep asking for the misery they are now experiencing. They let the extreme left get a foothold, and the population assisted them to power. Be careful what you wish for. There is no such thing as free shit, and if you vote for communism you can kiss any rights you had goodbye. Communism works out the same every single time.

I feel bad for the kids, but the adults got just what they asked for and trashed their own country in the process. Maybe our colleges could teach a course on failed ideologies in place of some of their current tripe to potentially avoid the same here.
