My response if I lived in California...

Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang, bang, bang, Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang.

drop 10 rounder, insert another.

my XD40SC carries 12 rounds with the extended mag, and I usually put the 2 mag carry on my belt as well.

That would have been 36 rounds.

I would guess that after about the first 10 or so dropped, there would have been a standoff until the next stop.

But that is only a guess.

I was thinking more along the lines of "Paul Kersey".

Get on the train loaded with "bait". Drop the perp and walk calmly off the train.

Even though it was just a movie, I'll bet that a similar "vigilante" could do more in a week to put a curb on this kind of crime than the entire Police Department in any of our major cities.

Is it legal in CA for a mob of punk-assed Juvies to rob train passengers?

"Juveniles" "Students" "Young People" "Teenagers" are just terms used by the mainstream media to describe thugs that commit these violent crimes and have little bearing on their actual ages. I'm sure many of them were 21 and older.

And having lived down there and been through that station many a times over the years.
It will be that all the thugs were black, robbing mostly white or asian passengers. Of course they won't call it a hate crime.

For those that don't know. That area is one of the most gang ridden, ghetto areas of all of Oakland. It's also almost 100% black area. Don't know how it is now but likely hasn't changed much. Police make calls in that area with at least two officers per car and two cars per patrol. The local precinct looks like a world war 2 strong point. Small high windows completely enclosed in stone. Multiple door entry system. Back in the day and likely still is a lot like West LA. Wasn't a question of IF you would here a shoot out, but how many.

And at the same time where were the BART police units? So how did these thugs not get all rounded up and arrested. It's not that hard to pull away from the station and stop somewhere. Then pull to the next station round them all up ship them off the a 6x6 where they belong. But then again is California. Knew there was a reason I was glad to leave years ago!
